Café

The café is within the grounds of the Upper Garden. It is located in the west wing of the castle, beside the gallery. The café serves teas, coffees & soft drinks alongside cakes made by the castle chef. The café is open everyday, 11am - 6pm, during the open season (March to October).

Garden Picnic Baskets

Enjoy a beautifully prepared picnic for two, freshly made in the Castle Kitchen using seasonal ingredients from the gardens. Salads and produce are grown to organic principles by our dedicated garden team, and each picnic includes homemade cakes, apple juice from the orchard, and freshly baked savoury pastries or scones.

We also offer a selection of delicious 9-inch round cakes, available to order in advance and collect from the Gallery Café.

Picnics and cakes are available every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday throughout June, July and August. Orders must be placed at least 48 hours in advance.
