Job title: Communications and Digital Content Manager - Freelance
Accountable to: Curator / Group Marketing Director
Working with: Colleagues across Lismore Castle Arts, Lismore Estate, Careysville and the wider Devonshire Group
Purpose of post: To lead and deliver communications, digital content and audience growth for Lismore Castle Arts, Lismore Castle and Careysville, strengthening profile, engagement and commercial enquiries.
Salary / day rate: €40,000 pro rata / to be confirmed
Term: Freelance arrangement to be confirmed
About Lismore, Careysville and Lismore Castle Arts
Set in County Waterford, within Ireland’s oldest continually cultivated gardens, Lismore Castle is a place of heritage, culture and community. Lismore Castle Arts presents contemporary art across three venues and delivers exhibitions, learning, engagement and community programmes, including work with local schools and cultural partners. The Castle and its gardens also welcome private guests and visitors, while nearby Careysville House, on the River Blackwater, is known for salmon fly fishing, private stays and wellbeing retreats.
The role will support the cultural, visitor and commercial ambitions of Lismore Castle Arts, Lismore Castle and Careysville by telling compelling stories about place, heritage, contemporary art, gardens, hospitality, wellbeing and Irish culture.
Purpose of the Role
We are looking for a communications and digital content professional to lead and enliven the online, social, marketing and development presence of Lismore Castle Arts, Lismore Castle and Careysville. The role will build awareness, strengthen audience relationships, support PR and partnership development, and translate distinctive storytelling into engagement, enquiries and long-term support.

This is a part-time, freelance role based at Lismore Castle, working with the Lismore Castle Arts team and colleagues across the Estate. The above is not an exhaustive list and duties may change according to the needs of the business.
