The Mill, Lismore Co. Waterford
Saturdays & Sundays, 12-5pm.
Lismore Castle Arts in delighted to present ORIGINS, selected from the 2022 undergraduate shows across Ireland. This year we are delighted to present the work of Heather Barker, Grace Cullen, Roberta Meckauskaite, Chloe O Halloran, Maeve Boef Smith, Margaret Varian, Ashiling Walsh, Jessie White.
Origins is an annual exhibition held each autumn as a way of presenting emerging new artists in a gallery context, alongside Lismore Castle Arts' respected programme of international artists. Responding to the theme explored in Simone Rocha's girls girls girls exhibition at Lismore Castle, which presents the work of 19 female artists, Origins 2022 continues to explore the diversity of work being produced by the next generation of Irish artists today. From challenging explorations of the body, to trauma, identity and social media, Origins suggests artists are keen to explore issues head on.
Join us for a tour beginning at 3pm at St. Carthage Hall to see Contradictory Senses, followed by a short walk to see ORIGINS departing at 4pm.
