Kaye Donachie is the inaugural print series commission for Lismore Castle Arts, which will see one artist per year produce a print at our newly established print studio in the former stable yard.
Kaye Donachie draws on literary and historical sources, particularly the lives and networks of women writers, artists and thinkers. Her print for Lismore extends the atmospheric and painterly qualities of her paintings, layering memory, portraiture and landscape. Through delicate tonal fields and subtle figuration, Donachie constructs poetic visual narratives that evoke forgotten or marginalised histories.
