Lismore Castle

It is commonly agreed that the best way to learn how to grow plants well is to observe them growing in their natural habitat. Colin Jones, head gardener of Salter Bridge Estate, is a passionate exponent of this philosophy and has travelled extensively to observe plants growing in their natural habitat.
Colin's latest expedition took him to North West Yunnan in China, also known as 'The Kingdom of Plants and Animals'. This province is home to almost half of China's flora despite only accounting for 4% of the overall landmass.
During this informative talk Colin will detail the flora he botanised, informing the audience of his key observations. This promises to be both an inspiration and informative talk and is a must see for any enthusiastic gardener.
