Charity lecture, dinner and walk in aid of the Lismore Welcome Project.
Lady Burlington presented a talk celebrating Chatsworth and Lismore’s fashionable history and revealing the cast of characters to grace the rooms of Chatsworth and Lismore over 500 years.
The talk presented show-stopping ensembles by the most celebrated designers of the day, from the Victorian era’s Jean–Philippe Worth to Alexander McQueen, and also features historic examples of ceremonial, military, court costume, fancy dress, and estate liveries, as well as clothing worn by members of the family.
We also hosted a charity dinner and walk through the gardens, with all proceeds going to Lismore Welcome Project, a group formed under the Community Sponsorship Ireland initiative, aiming to help refugee families move out of direct provision.
